Disabling manual automation editing with object selection tool?

Hi,
I’m using Cubase Pro 9.5. I have a project with many group channels, these group channels by default show automation for their volume, and the only way to hide it is to hide the track (If I click ‘hide all automation’ the folder holding the group channels closes).
My problem with this is that you can accidentally edit the automation by missclicking with the object selection tool (the default tool), because the cursor changes to draw tool when hovering over an automation line.

Is there any way to set it up so you can only edit the automation while the draw tool is selected? or any way to prevent dynamic tool changing? or to prevent editing the automation by mistake?

Hi,

Unfortunately you cannot hide this volume automation a different way then collapse the folder. But you can use the Lock automation to prevent accidental overwritten.
