Please see the screen shots. In the first, there is a g-flat in the second Clarinet that disappears in the second example in the actual part. Several threads state this issue but I have not heard whether is fix is available at this time. Anyone know of a work-around?
Thank you.
if you select the note in the part, what does it have its Accidental property set to? This switch should, in most cases (excepting manually added cautionary accidentals), be turned off.
pianoleo,
You are spot on on this one. “hide” was chosen for that note in the Properties Panel. I have not idea how that got switched.
Thank you!
Gary
Are you working with imported MusicXML, perchance? One of the settings at Preferences > MusicXML Import is to do with Accidental Visibility, though of course for the current project it’s too late to turn it off (as it doesn’t operate retrospectively on material that’s already been imported).
I’m not sure whether selecting all (in the score, in Galley View) and going Write > Respell > Propagate Note Spellings might carry things across from the score to the parts - it’s worth a shot. Failing that it’s probably a case of going through the parts, Selecting All, Filtering Notes and then turning off that Accidental property.
As a matter of fact, this is an imported Music XML file, so maybe that’s where the issue occurred. I will try your broader solution and see if that speeds this process up.
Thanks again.
