Working on the bass part of a string orchestra piece, I have added a metric modulation (h=q). It shows up fine in the bass part, but unfortunately clashes with the tail of a grace note.
In order to create more space to fix this, I decide to create a system break. As soon as I do this, the metric modulation disappears.
The metric modulation is still there in the score though
Why is this happening and how might I resolve it?
Update: I’ve resolved it by attaching it to the half-bar and moving it in engrave, but I’m none the wiser as to why it was hidden before, and this is a tedious workaround.

Is the Bass Layout set to show metronome marks?
I think you’ll need to upload the document, if you can, for people to see whats’ going on.
Couldn’t you just move it up in Engrave mode, in the Bass Layout, to avoid the clash; without moving the beat position?
