I’ve done a few projects now using Tonalic ARA tracks, and just finished migrating Cubase to a totally new computer. On my old computer I rendered all the Tonalic tracks to WAV files, then disabled and hid the original Tonalic tracks.
So . . . when I open the project on my new computer, the Tonalic files are all missing, referencing a “C:\Program Data\Celemony” folder where they used to be on my old computer.
Fortunately, my project opens with all the rendered WAV files and plays properly . . . but am I to understand you can’t actually backup the Tonalic files in the project ? Just trying to future proof the projects, in case changes need to happen . . . am I missing something about backing up the project folder, or should I not hide and disable the Tonalic tracks ?
Is your new computer online and have you logged into your Tonalic account ?
As far as I know Tonalic will download the content when needed. But I don‘t know where they store the content and how this will be transferred, when you move a project to a new computer.
Maybe an issue when you have other file or drive structures on the new computer

As far as I can tell, on my old computer (Windows 10), the Tonalics lived here:
(In a bunch of sub-directories, one for each Tonalic)
C:\ProgramData\Celemony\Tonalics
On the new computer (Windows 11) they live here:
C:\ProgramData\Celemony\Tonalic Data
When you open the Cubase project, you are prompted for the missing Tonalics. So, I copied the Tonalics from my old system to my new system, and browsed to retrieve them into the project . . . it seems to find them. However, they do not play at all, and cannot be discovered in the Tonalic system online. So, I’ve concluded that the Tonalics of a Cubase project cannot be backed up effectively, and certainly cannot be migrated to a different computer. Render everything to WAV files, buyer beware !
