Disk Cache Spike When opening Editor

Cubase 8.0.0

-whenever i open or close the key editor there will be a momentary dropout in playback. The only plugin i have in the project is Vienna Ensemble Pro 5, no other plugins loaded. The performance meter indicated a Disk Cache Spike when this happens. Im running an SSD.

I can verify that this issue only happens for me when asioguard is enabled.
