Display a Slash (/) as a Chord Symbol

Is there a way to create a slash (/) chord symbol, without creating a rhythmic slash region, and have it show? When I enter just a slash, as in the measure A / A7 /, the slashes don’t show. I’ve seen that you can create a custom playing technique, but that seems like a workaround for past versions of Dorico. I’m wondering if Dorico 6 has a setting to enable this feature that I’m missing or do we still need to use a custom playing technique?

Hi @MartinSimpkins, here a method to adapt the N.C. (no chord) symbol* to a slash:

Visual guide (follow the numbers, starting from menu Library>Chord Symbols…):

Video with the workflow:

Dorico file example:
slash chord symbol.dorico (1.3 MB)

(* )As reference, the Popovers webhelp:

Add-on: if you need to use the N.C. in other places, you can locally reset the appearance of the slash symbol, or choose the N.C. variant (Engrave Mode>Right click>Chord Symbols and Diagrams>Chord Symbol Appearance…):

Thanks Christian, it works. It’s another workaround instead of creating a playing technique. I hope in the future, Dorico will add this feature without us having to do these workarounds, but for right now, both of these methods work. I just need to see which one I like the best. Thanks again!
