Display chord symbols above an empty stave - worksheet

Hi helpful forum people, I am a finale cross grader, and loving Dorico.

I couldn’t figure out how to achieve this result though see pdf - I’d like to create a worksheet for my students that displays chord symbols above an empty stave. This way they can write in their own lines. In Finale I did it with a staff style “empty lines Layer 1” and modified that style to show chord symbols. What’s the best Dorico way? I’ve tried hide rests - that messes up my layout. thanks for any advice! Marc

Enter your chord symbols first. Then in Layout Options->Players there is an option to display or not display bar rests in empty bars. Uncheck it. I’d experiment with Note spacing to get the measures to spread out. Margins and rastral sizes can make a difference too (all in layout options).

Fabulous, thank you James, that was exactly what I was looking for!
