Time-aligning things like vocal sibilants and kick/bass transients is a common workflow item when producing a song.
Is there a way to display the waveforms in different colors when multiple audio events are selected in the sample editor?
Right now, they’re all grey, and that makes them virtually indistinguishable from each other, so that functionality is kind of useless to me.
Also, if there’s a different way to overlay and edit waveforms with more visual clarity in Cubase, I’m all ears!
If you color an event its waveform is still grey in the Sample Editor?

I colored the track, which makes all of the events show up in the track color, but I haven’t tried specifically selecting only one event (instead of the whole track) and coloring it.
I shall try that now, and report back!

Tried it, didn’t work. Waveforms still grey.
I am not sure which setting this could be but it should look like this
There is also a chance that some value in one of the preference files was written with a bad value. #cubase_cripples_itself

Yeah, this is exactly what I’m looking for!
If there is a setting for this that may have gotten corrupted, or maybe needs to be set by me, I’d appreciate somebody chiming in and letting me know what that is!

Did you try it in Safe Mode?

Good suggestion, thank you!
I haven’t tried this yet but I will, and I’ll report back!
