Yeah, I’m aware of the option, but notice I said this beaming specifically. Sixteenth - rest - sixteenth sixteenth I want beamed. I just am looking for an option to disable this specific goofy default beaming D does in 3/4
I am not sure I understand what you need.
I don’t see any 16th in your example. Maybe you mean 8th note?

then you need to choose this other Notation Option (and leave the other ones as Factory, so the “16th -rest -16th 16th” remains beamed):
