I have to open Cubasis project 3-4 times for it to sound correctly. You get audio distortion/audio glitching/playback timing errors.

This normally should not be the case.
Are the problems be related to a particular project?
If so, could these be related to a specific 3rd party plug-inn (instrument or effect)?
