Divide the project's tempo by 2 without modifying the audio

Hello, I’ve made good progress on a track with a project tempo of 150 bpm, but I’m having arrangement problems and I’d like to halve the tempo (to 75 bpm) without modifying the audio or having to re-export everything into a new project. Is it possible to do this in Cubase?

Thanks

Hi,

If you don’t want to Audio Events follow the tempo changes, disable the Musical Mode on the Audio Events. Then change the tempo.

The Musical Mode is already disable but all the audio tracks are still divided by two

You can try to additionally switch the audio tracks to Linear Time Base.

That’s a good trick for half time. I need to remember that.

Hi,

The disabled Musical Mode affects the tempo itself. The Linear Timebase affects the Start position of the Events/Parts.

I apply Linear Timebase in the Cubase preference, still the same problem.

Or do I need to change the project tracks directly to Linear Timebase? But how do you do that?

Hi,

You have to enable it on the track. The orange note icon change to the watch icon.
