Divisi—Cutaway help

Hi all, I’m looking for some help to see if anyone knows how I can make this happen.

I have a divisi passage in the celli and I would like to have the lower divisi staff cutaway while it is still in unison with the top line (i.e. before the divisi starts mid-system). But the unis measures when using divisi (as we all know) are locked together. Is there a work around?

It is possible to use cutaways in layouts that use divisi:

I selected the fourth measure in the lower celli staff and created a manual cutaway, then moved the start and end of the cutaway to the beginning of the first and fourth measures, respectively. However, the presence of the cutaway prevents the Vc. staff label from appearing between the a and b staves, and I don’t know how to remove the bass clef at the end of the cutaway without a workaround.

I can’t recall where I got the notion that cutaways were not possible with divisi - did I dream it?
Apologies if I’ve misled anyone.

Perhaps you meant that cutaways cannot be used in layouts with multimeasure rests. So while @johnkprice ‘s solution works in a score, it would not work in a part layout.
