Is there a way to set the indentation of the lower system to the same value as the indentation where the ‘I’ is placed in the division?
There has been a thread recently by a user who wanted systems with staff labels of different length have the same indentation. The answer was “not possible currently”.
You could fake it with adding a Coda section at the start of the second system, hiding the Coda sign and setting the appropriate indentation, but this would be quite some work (and should be done right at the very end of the layouting process…)
You can use Minimum indent for systems with staff labels on the Staves and Systems page of Layout Options to set a minimum indent, but it will of course affect all systems.
I’d suggest that it would be better to remove the indent and label altogether. You can add Staff Text above the staff, if you need to label the split.
Hi @k.k, I already answered something similar to you three days ago, but there you had staff labels visible in both systems (maybe you have the Forum reply notifications turned off?):
But indeed the minimum indentation only works for the systems with staff labels visible.
With the methods suggested in the linked post you should have the divisi staff labels on every system. Can you share your project to see what is going on?
(If you want the minimum indent to work, but don’t want a staff label there, a workaround would be to write the name of the label as empty space for that system, possibly copying the divisi signpost, and edit the staff label name of the copy: the staff label will be “invisible” but will trigger the minimum indent)
(But maybe I am overlooking something more obvious)
