Divisi number in staff label - how do I get rid of it?

apologies for not being able to get my head around this.

I don’t want:

1
2
near Viola when using divisi, as that is redundant. I only seem to be able to get rid of it manually by double clicking on the the divisi flag and choosing “hide” in “show section number”.

But why can’t I set it globally? I can’t seem to find the option to do that

Ciao @mikeheels,

First of all be sure that your Divisi follows the (global) Options:

Then set the Layout Options>Staff Labels>Divisi Labels as desired:

Dorico file example:
condensed divisi section numbers visibility.dorico (1.3 MB)

Hi Christian,

Sorry for the deleted posts. there is something I can’t understand here:

Why does the flute staff doesn’t go back to being a single one in the last page? and why is there a single sub bracket in the Flute 1 staff and the Fl2 is not included?

If this no longer relates to your divisi staff label question, perhaps start a new thread?

For questions relating to condensing, the best thing you can do is share the project file itself, as there’s lots of variables that we can’t determine from a screenshot alone.
