A couple of questions related to entering “divisi” for string orchestra:
I am successfully entering various divisi configurations (w/change divisi, restore unison, etc.), but see no easy built-in option to add the label “divisi” or “divisi a 2”. Is there an option? (I am simply manually entering this with staff-attached text.)
And – on the topic of staff-attached text – is there any way to cut-and-paste, in Write mode? I would like to copy the same text to multiple locations quickly.
I’m afraid there isn’t an global option to costumize divisi change labels. What you can do to avoid entering text items is changing the default text in Engrave Mode.
You can select the text and either Alt+Click it, or use the normal shortcuts (Ctrl/Cmd+C, Ctrl/Cmd+V)
If you don’t use Show section names in the staff labels (Layout Options), you can also costumize the section names in the divisi dialog. But with section names in the staff labels, it’s not ideal:
