Divisi, unison and trill signposts

A cartoon to explain the issue:

1. the original pre-trill state:
   

   

2. Popover SHIFT-O: tr M2, notice signposts in former divisi spaces… but this is unison already:
   

   

3. delete UNISON signtpost:
   

   

4. delete trill … and undeletable signposts remain
   

   

While testing this I reverted some changes and now I indeed have a trill signpost in one ghost divisi staff which I cannot get rid of.

Have I missed something in the manual?

Now I have these in my score. When I select one of those, nothing appears in properties panel.
How to get rid of them?
Selecting them and pressing backspace or delete does nothing.

You will encounter the odd thing like this when working with divisi and unison sections in galley view, due to the complexities of how this kind of material works. You should find that such problems never affect the score in page view.

Alright, thanks for clarifying @dspreadbury .
In cases like this there is always a feeling “what if my file is corrupted”. Good to know that this is not the case. Can live with “ghost trills (thrills)” for now.
