Is it possible to use Enttec DMXIS -interface as a plugin/instrument in VST Live?
We have over 60 songs that are controlled by calling programmed presets inside plugin/instrument. One midi track (midi channel 15) recals banks and other track (midi channel 16) recalls presets.
If yes, please explain how and were in!

… the DMXIS Plug-In is loaded as an instrument. Yes, you can load a DMXIS instrument Plug-In with VST Live.
. Start VL
. Select TRACKS
. Add MIDI Track
. Load “DMXIS-Inst” as an “Output Device” in the inspector
See you,
Michael.
Thanks!
Tried many different ways but couldn’t solve this… -How to route two different midi tracks to same instrument? First track via midi channel 15 and second via midi channel 16.
Instrument could also be “global” in this set.
. Start VL, New Project
. Menu / Part / Create Global Part
. Select LAYERS and add a Layer to the Global Part
. Load DMXIS-Ins as an instrument to that Layer
. Select TRACKS
. Add MIDI Track and Select “Global | Layer 1” as an Output Device in the Inspector
. Select Channel 15 for that Track
. Add another MIDI Track and Select “Global | Layer 1” as an Output Device in the Inspector
. Select Channel 16 for that Track
That should help you,
Michael.
YES! Thank you. Now it works!
Great thread - I’ve been struggling with this particular problem for months and this has solved it.
Now I will use VST Live Pro on all my gigs - thanks Michael for such clear advice and Horna for explaining the issue in the first place.
