Do i have to purchase a usb elicenser for ELEMENTS?

I was wanting to purchase the educational version of CUBASE ELEMENTS for a friend.
ELEMENTS, educational version is on sale for $66 at SWEETWATER.
I have heard that ELEMENTS does not require the pay USB dongle, but i am not sure if the educational version requires the pay elicenser USB dongle.

Many thanks for any info on this subject.

Elements definitely does not require a USB elicencer. Not sure about the edu version but I shouldn’t think so.
