Do I need ASIO Guard?

I’ve always left ASIO Guard set to normal and just moved on. My projects are quite small. During playback and recording the ASIO meter hardly moves. Will I see any benefit or detraction by turning it off?

I think the only way to find out for your specific setup and workflow is to just try the different settings.

There are some explanations of what it does:

Since you don’t seem to have any issues the answer is: no.
Turning ASIO Guard off doesn’t make your songs sound better.
