Do not switch "Currently edited Part" when editing multiple midi tracks

Hi,
I have two Midi tracks selected. No matter if “Edit Active Part Only” is selected or not, whenever I click on a note of a track (that, in my case, is not the active one and I only want to use as a reference without modifying it) , it changes the editing to that part.

How to properly lock the editing to a certain track and have another one purely as a background reference without interacting to it? Thanks

I see, now I got it. You mean in the Key Editor…

It works as specified. If you want to select the note without switching to the MIDI Part, use the lasso selection, please.
