In Cubase 7.5 I hated how my MIDI controller worked with the DAW and didn’t satisfy my workflow. Basically to control a parameter such as a plugin or send you had to have that current track selected which meant I couldn’t do two different things simultaneously. I also hated the fact that my CC assigned hardware controls on my MIDI keyboard controller would affect the parameters inside the Cubase VSTI’s without me even assigning anything in the first place.
Has Cubase 8 got MIDI learn so that by DEFAULT everything is unassigned, leaving me to assign my hardware controls to different parameters across many tracks?
Basically I’m looking for something similar to Logic and Ableton Live where you right click the parameter on the software, select MIDI learn and then move the hardware control to finalise the link.
