Does Cubasis for Android work with the IRig 2 audio interface?

The IRig UA does not work. Maybe the iRig HD-2 is the better choice? I saw it on the capatible list for IOS but i could not find a list for Android or is that the same?

I’m really anxious to start with Cubasis 3 on my Android tablet but I need to buy an Audio interface first.

Hi @frank.bosman

Thanks for your message and a warm welcome.

The performance of Cubasis for Android is strongly related to the Android device in use. Same goes for the options and overall performance of using external devices on Android.

I suggest to get in touch with our good friends at IK Multimedia, to check about the iRig’s Android compatibility. We’re at hand to hand over a Cubasis for Android promo code to them for testing purposes, if required.

Best,
Lars

I bought the iRig Pro I/O and that works perfectly on other Android programs but for Cubasis the monitor sounds terrible. When i raise the latency to 32 in setup, the cracked sound disappears but that makes it impossible to record decent audio. The recording itself is perfect, just not the monitoring during recording. Any idea? I tried every option in settings… please. For the rest Cubasis is such a perfect product.
Cheers, Frank

Hi @frank.bosman

From what I know, some IK Multimedia audio devices include a switch to turn the device in direct mode (e.g. the iRig Pro Duo). Does yours have this option too?

If changing the latency value is not an option, please check if enabling/disabling “Multi-core Processing” helps to resolve the problem.

Best,
Lars

Hi Lars,
The options you suggested did not work for me but thanks anyway. Is it in anyway possible to have monitoring on a Android device anyway?
I tried all weekend to record without monitoring and that seems to work for me. The recorded audio is perfect, so i will do it like that. Later i will try to involve a smal mixer in the mix ;-). Maybe that will help in monitoring. Cubasis is the best, although i do have a couple of small suggestions. I will do them in another post later. Have a great day, cheers Frank
