Does HDD task separation still apply to modern SSDs?

Back in the day I learned that it’s important to have the OS/DAW, the project folder (recording location) and the streaming VSTis each on a separate hard drive to optimize performance (since the read/write head of an HDD can’t be everywhere at once). I’d like to know if this limitation still applies to SSDs. I’m asking because I need a new laptop, and want to go full SSD. The questions is, can I get a large internal SSD, would it be able to easily handle playback/recording/streaming all at once? Or would it still be better to work with multiple SSD drives?

Nvm, just noticed the “does hard drive cache matter?” thread covers this…
For anyone landing here first: One SSD can handle everything, just use a separate drive for back-ups.
