We all know, this discussion has long existed.
For me, I prefer a Dongle like this (metal, flat, indestructible, for the keychain, for the neck, waterproof)

I have one of those on my keychain actually (usb stick)… problem is that it isn’t very stable/secure by design and it is very easy to make it glitch.

Yes there are MANY pretty much indestructible USB key designs out there right now and the current one IS pretty flimsy.
I think i would be a bit paranoid if i had to use mine in a live situation.
It’s not like it would need a major re-design… just a new case design… even just encapsulating the electronics in some kind of resin would be a bit of a step up.

And maybe invest in a short extender cable too.
That key thing has no LED. And if it were truly indestructible would just rip the back out of your computer instead.
