Hi, I’m trying to open Cubase SX3 to rework some old music files on Mac G4, but Syncrosoft Error mesage is "Protection device contains no valid licenses. I have bought several Cubase programs in the past. I am now on a Mac Studio, but i need to open my old files from years ago, that are on my G4 and my Mac Pro 2009. I licensed my apps, paid for the dongle, and but its been a while since I opened them. How do I re-license my dongle to get the apps open? Thanks in advance!
but is the dongle plugged in? Elicenser program updated to the specific version needed for your older OS?
Hello, Yes, the Dongle is plugged in. I originally bought Cubase versions 3 4 5vst, then SX. The same dongle worked fine. But I haven’t used the G4 in several years. I wrote some music in those programs, but as John Lennon said, life happened while I was making other plans.
So I want to continue with what I started, change all the old files to newer file types on Cubase . I think with Cubase SX3, I can change the file types to newer midi files, then I can continue working in a current version of Cubase, or even something simple like Garageband. I am not really sure. As I said , it’s been several years since I wrote those original songs on Cubase .
So any ideas is appreciated!
I don’t know exactly how to update the elicenser.
