Don’t know how to download Dorico 6.2.10. I don’t see it when I open Steinberg Assistant
I’m 80 y.o. and have a hard time learning Dorico 6. I just recently switched over from FINALE but need help. Thank you!

Dale,
Welcome to the wold of Dorico. You must have a wealth of musical experience.
Yes, the best way to manage downloads for Dorico is to use the Steinberg Download Assistant.
Suggest familiarizing yourself with that first. And - from your post - it may be that you have an old version of it. Make sure to get the latest version of the SDA.
But don’t struggle!
Come straight back here if you need help with the SDA
maybe include screenshots of what you do see in the SDA. You have registered Dorico, haven’t you?
This might help you (Steinberg Dorico install video) along with the comments below it if you have problems, otherwise as @MarkSealey has suggested, reply here with where you are stuck.
Thank you so much for your quick reply. I have been struggling with Dorico, and I still haven’t figured out where to go for answers. first of all, you mentioned that I should check if I have the latest version of SDA. how do I do this? currently I’m able to open Dorico 6 but want to upgrade to 6.2.10. Again, many thanks!
TO Janus, thank you so much for the very useful advice. as we speak, I am downloading Dorico v 6.2.10. WHen finishes, do I restart my iMac? BTW, I didn’t quit Dorico when downloading v 6.2.10. is this bad? it’s such a relief knowing that there’s people like you willing to help an old geezer like me. LOL!
No, but you should probably quit Dorico before trying to restart is as 6.2.10
It may no longer be necessary, but I tend to restart the computer just in case.
The Download Assistant never works for me,… the first time. It always gives me some error like I need an internet connection even though I am obviously on the internet. Or another one is login failed but no matter I just watch it and eventually it works even though I don’t touch it or do anything.
I have a similar experience (but my internet connection does occasionally drop out so I’m never clear where the problem really lies)
Also, I’m astonished how often Media Bay needs to be updated (and how long it takes to do so)
I know it isn’t my I-net connection since I have done it in different places like the university. It’s no biggie since it always seems to work after it gets the error messages out of its system. Whatever…
Agreed. I’ve no way on knowing if the problem is at my end or Steinberg’s…
Me neither just let Dorico do its thing.
