Hi,

Since N14 the DOP window gets too small on certain plugins, like some RX modules.
The problem is that the window adapts itself to the plugin window size but, since these plugins are too small, everything gets cramped up to the point of buttons getting hidden, and sometimes even the process list is completely gone.
It happens on both 4k and FullHD displays. My system settings are set to HiDPI enabled, scaling is default. (By the way, moving the DOP window from one display to another changes its dimensions each time.)

Does anyone else see this happening? Any way of solving this? This is presenton both N14 and 15 for me.

I’m on windows 11 (most recent), i7-12700F, Nvidia RTX3060 12GB.

Thanks!

EDIT: oh, by the way I can’t take a screenshot of it cause the DOP window disappears whenever the printscreen overlay comes on. I don’t know why.

In the Windows Snipping Tool, there’s an option to delay the capture. Sometimes, depending on what you’re trying to capture, windows disappear when using 'Print Screen

According to AI, this issue is extremely well-known when using iZotope plug-ins within Steinberg hosts (Nuendo/Cubase) on Windows.
I work without HiDPI, at 100% scaling, and I am perfectly happy with that.
Two monitors: Iiyama 2560 x 1440 (first) // Iiyama 1920 x 1200 (second Monitor)

Oh, ok. Thanks! I hope this gets fixed someday. One more reason to stop using iZotope whenever possible.

I use a 4k TV and without HiDPI things get very fuzzy here, and it bothers me a lot.
Thank you for the idea, though!

Are you on the latest version of RX? This was fixed.

[EDIT] I misunderstood. DOP window does indeed suffer from the issues of not having a minimum size. On the other hand RX interfaces are how HiDPI aware.

This is really irritating actually

This is incredibly easy to fix by limiting the smallest size the window can be with maximum compactness of the controls (everything visible and accessible).

My example, using a Kilohearts gain plugin at 100% UI scale I cannot access audition and loop, audition volume, process range and tail. Select sound reference is also lost.

Nope, I stopped on 10.

Yes, please!! It makes no sense how it is now.

And it has other bugs, like if you keep pulling the window around to different monitors, it keeps changing size. It’s a mess.

Yes, this is exactly what happens with RX here.
Thanks!
