Well I’ve tried everything I can think of but I just can’t seem to get video import to work in Dorico 2 Pro, which is a shame as i was hoping to be able to use the new features to score a film I’m working on while I’m forced to work on my laptop away from my main studio setup.
I’ve tried most of the recommended codec/container combinations listed on the Steinberg help page here: https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/en-us/articles/115000808250-Video-support-in-Nuendo-Cubase-and-Dorico including DV/DVCPro, MJPEG/PhotoJPEG, H264 and Avid DNxHD in the appropriate containers.
The ones that do attach to a project do not seem to want to play at all, in fact I just end up with a blank video window that I can’t bring to the front of the project and which appears to be completely white:
The strange thing is that the very same videos seem to to attach to a Cubase 9 Artist (9.0.30) project on the same machine with no issues whatsoever and play flawlessly. I was under the impression that both programs make use of the same video playback technology so at this point I’m stumped as to what the issue could be.
I’d really like to get this working before I fly out of the country on Monday, so if anyone has any suggestions about how to fix this problem I’d be very glad to hear them.
