I thought I read in notes somewhere that Dorico 4.2 was supposed to fix the issue with visual preferences not being saved/remembered? See the controls surrounded by red rectangles below).

When I set them the way you see them now (minimum track height and the chosen grid width/height (see second pic above), save my project, exit, open it back up, the tracks are back to maximum height and the grid is back to it’s default width/height. See below:
