At the moment there are only two solutions;

1. you have to change the solo cello to yet another voice and assing that to ”solo cello” vst.

2. You have to build your cello vst’s into VEPro in a way that it is possible to switch between solo, half and full section via expression maps. (For every voice)

Idea for the playback of solo/gli altri -divisi

I have an idea or suggestion for the add divisi -dialog: It would be useful, if in the divisi pop-up one could select the voice of the staff and if the staff belongs to a section or a solo player. At the moment it’s a bit complicated to assign playback for these kind of situations, for two reasons: Dorico automatically connects the upper staff to voice 1 and lower staff to voice 2. But for playback it should be the other way around, as the new solo instrument should be voice 2. At the moment…
