Im currently using Dorico 4 Pro and want to upgrade to 5. Since I’m not using the professional features for my hobby purposes, I want to downgrade to Elements.
Am I eligible for the reduced Elements Upgrade price? How does it work?
You cannot downgrade editions. If you are determined that you want to drop to Dorico Elements then your best bet would be to sell the Dorico Pro 4 licence and buy Dorico Elements 5 outright.
Second-hand prices of music software licences are typically 50%-65% of the new price for the current version, with a deduction for being an older version. I would think seriously about the cost over time of upgrading Dorico Pro when there is a sale compared to the sale price of a used Dorico Pro licence and the cost of buying Elements.
