Dorico 4 Upgrade Clean Install Procedure

I would just like to check the procedure for a ‘clean’ install of Dorico 4 Upgrade. I have read forum posts on upgrading but they all seem to refer to having 3.5 on the system.

Having installed a new hard-drive with no 3.5 version on it do I need to follow any particular procedure for the 4 Upgrade.

Thanks.

You need to update your Dorico 3.5 license, which means you need access to the eLicenser on which your Dorico 3.5 license is located. If you were using the USB-eLicenser before, you can plug that in to the new computer, but if you were using the Soft-eLicenser, you will need to at least perform the update procedure on the computer on which Dorico 3.5 is currently installed.

Once you’ve updated your license, which doesn’t require you to install Dorico 4 (or indeed to actually have Dorico 3.5 itself installed), you can then install on a new machine that has never had Dorico installed.

Thank you Daniel.
I was using the USB-eLicenser so my new install sounds fairly straight-forward.
