New to Dorico and trying to understand its playback protocol. I’ve created a VSL Special Edition Playback Template using VSL’s Dorico Wizard. While selecting the template in Dorico opens several Synchron Player instances, no samples load automatically. Is there a way to have instruments load automatically, or do I need to set them up manually each time?" Thanks and apologies in advance for the rookie question
If you apply the VSL template from the Playback Template list in the Play menu, all instances should appear fully loaded. If this does not happen, I imagine the Wizard didn’t do its job properly 
Possibly the Endpoint configurations got botched up.
Thanks Nickie, I’ll need to look into this a little more. I’ve used Dorico Wizard several times, and each iteration of the template has the same behaviour. I did
move my VSL libraries to a different drive recently so suspect this may be part of the issue. I’ll contact VSL to see if they can help me sort this. Thanks again. Ian

Thanks Fratveno, that was a good call, however, that alll seems to be fine, and I can open and use VSL players in both standalone, and Logic Pro. I tried re loading Vienna assistant to make a new template, but that didn’t help. I suspect it’s something to do with my moving the samples to an external drive, in some way. I’ve contacted VSL so hopefully I’ll get this sorted soon. Thanks again
oki. To the left of the green INSTALLED button there as an arrow menu… click it and select MOVE… Since you have already moved, maybe you can use Install from drive (this being the location you’ve selected manually) available in the burger button… the VSL guys will know of course 
Thanks again Fratveno, the players and samples all show up in Logic, Sibelius and indeed Dorico, and work as they should. I suspect there is another file that is either missing, or got misplaced when I copied the libraries, that allows Vienna Assistant to organise a playback template, that automatically loads the appropriate sounds? I’ll post back when I hear from VSL if they sort this for me. I’m really hoping I won’t need to re-install everything though!,
