Dorico 5 has suddenly started crashing and/or freezing in a variety of circumstances. I know this has been talked about before but I’ve tried everything and I think I should just put up the diagnostic zip here for anybody to peruse.

The problem is that Dorico freezes in while trying to activate MIDI ports.
What if you disconnect all MIDI devices from your computer, does Dorico then start again?
Ok that did seem to make it less crashy. So do I need to buy a new MIDI port? It is pretty old. Or maybe try to update the driver?
If there is a newer version of a software driver available then sure, try it out. As long as it does work properly, there’s no reason to throw out old hardware.
