Hi @William_Stephenson , I believe you that it works now, but are all paths correct now? If you are unsure, please post a fresh diagnostic report, so I can check.
Hi William, thanks for the data.
And indeed, it works now, but some of the vstsound files are still installed in your Downloads folder. Now it works and is fine, but in the moment you clean up your Downloads folder it will break.
This is nothing urgent, but should be rectified sooner or later.
You could rectify this via the Steinberg Library Manager.
Do you know how to do that?
sorry, I do not. I have used the Library Manager but would not know the steps to clean it up.

Hi William, it’s not so difficult. You start the Steinberg Library Manager and it lists all the available libraries. On the right side is a Details button which shows you the current installation location. Check that for each library.
Does not at least point to /Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content then that is wrong and you need to redirect that by means of the Move button. Click there and choose the path /Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/HALion/VST Sound/ for all the HALion Libraries.
Then also pay attention to the Groove Agent tab at the top left of the Library Manager window. If you click there, the Groove Agent libraries get listed. Here same thing again. The only difference that you need to select the path /Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/Groove Agent/
Once you are done, restart Dorico and send me a fresh diagnostics report so I can check again. Thanks
Ulf,
Can I recommend you for a raise? I hope Dorico knows how valuable you are.
Here is my new diagnostics report. I moved libraries on the Halion tab as you suggested. However, on the Groove Agent tab libraries, I suspected you wanted me to use the path:
/Library/Application Support/Steinberg/Content/Groove Agent/VST Sound since some of them were already there (ie added /VST Sound to the path.
If that is incorrect, I can easily change them back.

Hi William, thank you so much for your kind words. Sure you can always recommend me for a rise, question is, will my superior listen to you?
Anyway, back to business:
Groove Agent content is fine now and can stay as it is,
but HALion Sonic Selection still points to the user’s download directory; from the log
2024-10-02 14:22:41 : /Users/wts/Downloads/Steinberg/OSX/HALion Sonic Selection - Content (recommended)/FCP_SMT_139_HSSE_Artist_Synth_Presets_02.vstsound
So you need to rectify this as well.
Cheers,
Ulf
OK. I see that “Flux” and “Trip” point to the downloads folder. When I tried to move them, the process failed. Here is the error message. I tried several times and also tried moving it one level up and that failed too.
I also noted that Indian Drum Basics, Olympus Choir Micro and Iconic Sketch pointed to a different folder that did not have the sub-file “Halion” in them, so I put them in that folder too.
Here is the new diagnostics zip file.

Hi @William_Stephenson , I think we better have a remote screen sharing session on this. According to the logs, Dorico now even does not recognize Iconica any more. I’ll send you a private message via this board, please check.
I am in the US, mountain time. Mon, Tues or Weds next week (7th-9th) early morning here would work.

Best to communicate email addresses by private message rather than putting it in a public post and inviting spam or worse.
Click on @Ulf’s name beside his avatar in the message above. That should show you a Message button to contact him privately.
I already edited his posting and deleted his e-mail address.
