Hi
Dorico 5 cannot be run…
First time I saw this error, I resolved the problem with Windows update.
But after I open Dorico and test few things, and close Dorico,
and now I see the error again… so annoying.
Please let me know what do I do. My OS is Windows 10.
Thanks
Since it was already running once, try a reboot first, to kill off any zombie background tasks. How does Dorico behave then?
What are those zombie background, for example?
Deadlocked VSTAudioEngine processes
Hello everyone, I have had the same problem for months. I couldn’t take care of it before, and now it’s becoming urgent. I will send you the diagnosis. Thank you very much for your help. Francois

@Francois_Irles, welcome to the forum. There’s a single crash log for the audio engine in your diagnostics, and it looks like it’s the Spitfire BBC Symphony Orchestra plug-in that’s crashing. Can you make sure that you have the latest version installed?
Hello, yes it’s the last version of BBCSO. Thanks

Hi @Francois_Irles , it looks like as if one (or even more) VST3 plug-in is making trouble during startup scanning.
Let’s start with something simple. Please go to/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/
and the contained VST3 folder please rename to something else e.g. _VST3
Does Dorico then start up quickly?
Hi Ulf, yes Dorico does, but no more vst at all…I understand that there is a buggy vst !!!
I deleted all unnecessary plugins. It’s always the same, we pile up kilos of it which are useless and which fail us when we need our favorite Dorico and Cubase. So everything works very well. So it was definitely in VST3 that it was buggy. Thank you to the whole team for your help, musically, Francois
