Dorico 6.0 - Engrave missing?

I upgraded to Dorico 6.0 from Dorico 5.0 Pro.

why is the Engrave option missing. Every option in Library are locked. Are upgrades free or do I need to pay for 6.0?

Yes, I will likely come to around 100€…

Yes, I imagine you have a license for Dorico SE in your account, which is the free version of Dorico.

Dorico Pro 6 is not a free update. You can buy an update from the Steinberg online shop.

thank you for responding :+1:

Good day all…

I’m suffering the same conundrum as @ deangelisron except that I paid for the upgrade from Dorico 5 Pro to 6 Pro (receipt in my email). Any idea why my 95% of the items in the libraries dropdown are locked?

I need to apply a swing feel to a file I’m working on for a student using the playback options.

Plus… I just noticed that my Engrave menu is also missing.

Screenshot of the Library dropdown attached.

Weird…

Okay… I just looked at the “About Dorico” and my computer says I’m running Dorico 6 SE. How is that possible?? I paid for the Finale to Dorico cross grade and used it until Dorico 6 was released when I paid for, downloaded, and installed the upgrade. More screenshots below.

When you bought the v6 upgrade, you should have gotten an access code. Did you click that Redeem Code button and enter it?

?? So you are appropriating Shakespeare now?

If you have set up your new licence correctly, perhaps try closing and reopening Dorico.

Holding down modifier keys during startup runs Dorico as the smaller versions. So make sure you’re not pressing any keys on your keyboard whilst Dorico reopens.

I followed the steps on the page in the screenshot below.

As necessary.

I don’t see any screenshot. Are you still having this issue?

Closed and restarted Dorico. All is as it should be. I honestly have no idea what happened.

I followed the installation instructions from the purchase/download email and always open the app sans modifier keys.
