Dorico 6 - Custom expression maps not visible in new projects

Hi,

I’ve created expression maps for some VSL instruments, and saved these as Endpoints. When I create a new project, and add the same VSL instrument, the custom expression map I created is not visible in Track Inspector. What is the process for locating and loading my custom expression maps into new projects?

Stephen

I could have answered on the other thread.

You can import expression maps to projects.

Just a thought, did you load the expression map into the track inspector of the specific channel, before saving the endpoint? Just creating the expression map will not link it to anything if you don’t load it in the track inspector.

Thanks Janus, that’s a relief. The really time-consuming process is the expression maps, so if they’re accessable across projects that’s great.

Christian, I did load the expression map into track inspector…

Ok, so I’ve managed to import the “My Timpani” expression map to the new project. But now the playing techniques and playback techniques I created are not visible in the new document. If I open the “playing techniques” window from “Library” Tab I see the techniques I created are there, but they don’t appear in the right hand side menu, or when I select a note and use the shift/p shortcut to add playing technique…

Have you browsed the extensive series (17 of them) of official tutorials on Playback?

No, I haven’t seen them. Thanks for the link.
