Thanks,a reset of all settings worked for me.
Sorry, I’m new to this. Which settings and how to do it? TIA
I suggest you google “reset all settings” for the ipad. The forum doesnt allow me to include a link.
Unfortunately that didn’t work
Sorry to hear that, I am unable to offer any further help
@alphornproductions, could you please locate the crash dumps from your device and attach them here? I gave the procedure here:
Dorico-2025-05-06-120707.ips (90.2 KB)
Dorico-2025-05-06-194948.ips (89.3 KB)
Thanks for this posting -
yes same here - app store offered to update on this iPad and now now Dorico anymore :-((
any possibility to get a previous version?
I paid for lifelong and now it is gone after less than my own life!
This is not the same issue as the one with accessibility. According to the report you attached, Dorico crashes while trying to save (write) newly created project.
Here is my crash log;
Dorico-2025-05-07-181208.ips (25.5 KB)
That’s yet another one, not related to accessibility nor file saving.
We’ve seen @alphornproduction’s crashes before; that problem affects both Dorico for iPad and Dorico on the desktop, and will be fixed in the first maintenance release. @Vadian’s crash appears to be somehow related to localisation and setting up the translated user interface. @Vadian, what language are you running Dorico in?
English
@Vadian, can you try deleting and reinstalling the app? Make sure you’ve backed up all the projects you see in On My iPad in the Files app before you remove the app from your device, as any projects you find in there will be permanently deleted when you delete the Dorico app.
Appreciate that most of the focus is on fixing these small bugs with Dorico 6, but any news on when those who updated in the App Store might be able to roll back to the last compatible version? Thanks.
Unfortunately, no, there’s no way to install a previous version. You’ll have to wait until we’re able to provide an update, which we will do as quickly as we can.
Thanks, no problem.
I did that already, same behavior.
Hello Daniel,
Same here. It even crashes when I try to disable Assistive Touch. Can’t even get there. And the update was automatic apparently, didn’t confirm anything.
Hope you can fix it…
Welcome to the forum, @Dick_Gierlings. You can disable Assistive Touch from the Settings app – you don’t need to run Dorico itself to disable that. Once accessibility settings on your device have been disabled, Dorico should run.
