Dorico 6 – Missing trumpet transpositions

I can no longer find common Trumpet transpositions in Dorico 6, when you choose trumpet it now gives by default trumpet in Bb

Do you have this problem only with Trumpet, or also with other instruments?

That’s weird, So here is what I suspect : I am working on a new project however before starting to set the instruments I imported a template from a D5 file via Library manager, maybe that has something to do with it? (since when I open a new project without importing a template I can see the trumpets again )

(I am on Mac as well)

OK, than it’s not an installation problem

I’m afraid I’ve got no clue what causes this, but I’m sure more knowledgeable users will chime in

The instruments.xml file is loaded into the project at the time of file creation. I obviously have no idea what was in the D5 file without seeing it, but that at least explains how there’s a difference between D5 and D6.

Okay, weird one here. I started a brand new project in Dorico 6, and I imported a .doricolib file I used without issue in Dorico 5. I then synced up the settings (blanket for now as this is a test, but I’ll be more judicious once I have a minute to look over the changes in defaults) and it doesn’t seem like the settings match at all compared to what they looked like in 5. Instead of a normal looking part on Concert-sized paper with rastral size 4, I get some sort of eldritch horror: tabloid-size…

Oh boy. I hope I didn’t stumble across something big, there. I will say that I haven’t had more time to play with that yet but what little experimenting I did do definitely didn’t have the results I’d expect.
