one friend of mine would like to purchase the upgrade from Dorico 4 Pro to Dorico 6 Pro. He lives in Lithuania and is already a registered Steinberg/Dorico user.
However, on Steinberg.net the prices of Dorico 6 are shown in Kronas instead of Euros, which caused some confusion. He is unsure whether the purchase would still be accepted correctly for Lithuania.
Could you please clarify why this happens and what the correct way to proceed with the purchase is?
I would appreciate your help with this matter. I am currently working with this colleague on a project, and we need to exchange Dorico files. As far as I know, at least five countries use a currency called “krone/krona”, so it is difficult to understand what the actual price of this upgrade would be.
As you can see from his screenshot, Nuendo is still listed in Euros, so this does not appear to be a general country or regional setting issue.
the VAT rate 21% can give you a clue.
If that’s the VAT rate of Lithuania, then the price will be in Lithuanian Kronas.
ps. your screenshot shows the full prices, not the Upgrade prices.
While testing this situation, I connected remotely to another computer in Lithuania to determine whether this might be an issue with one particular MacBook Pro. Interestingly, another MacBook Air owned by a different person displays everything in euros. Therefore, it remains unclear which setting could be causing this issue.
I will try to check his internet and system settings to see if I can identify the cause.
Thank you for your reply. He is not using a VPN, and his region is set to Lithuania. We reset all Safari data and cookies and also tested with Google Chrome and Firefox. Unfortunately, the prices are still displayed in Krona instead of Euro.
I have created a support ticket for him with Steinberg Support and hope they will get back to him soon.
As a temporary solution, he could try making the purchase from another computer while waiting for the issue to be resolved.
