The audio engine is failing with Vienna Ensemble 8. Tech support looked at the diagnostics and picked up an error in a windows DLL ucrtbase. It’s true that the error logs indicate that but it’s not conclusive that the problem is in that library rather than say a network issue. On the other hand Dorico 6.30 keeps promising to update a 6.10 project and never does so maybe there us a problem in the project itself.
Anyone having similar issues with VEP 8?
When ucrtbase dll turns up on the top of the callstack, that does not necessarily mean that the fault comes from that dll, but rather from another dll or exe from the callstack below. That’s why, could you please send me the crash dump files that you sent to the Vienna guys? Thanks
The diagnostic files were Dorico’s and were sent to Steinberg - Gregory Jackson was the contact. I said the same thing to him about the DLL. I had to revert to vep 7 to get things working. Do you have access to the files?
