My bluetooth speaker works fine on win 10 with all but Dorico. Is there some trick to getting this to work? Thanks.

It boils down to creating an “aggregated device” in which only your BlueTooth output device participates, give it an arbitrary name and then select that in Edit > Device Setup.
And actually, we have now a fix for that issue, and it will become available with the next Dorico update.

Ulf: tried your suggestion and it worked. I own a new Dell laptop and apparently it is a generic problem with them that the power management system shuts off the signal to the usb port resulting in a very annoying 60 cycle hum. Now I can eliminate that using bluetooth.
