Dorico 'appears' to be autosaving projects in my recycle folder?

I have just noticed that I have almost 1000 Dorico projects in my recycle folder. The path for each one ends in “/autosave”. Why is Dorico doing this and how can I fix it? I can’t find anything that gives me access to settings. I’m using Dorico 5.1.70.2200. Thanks, Cliff K

Welcome, @suecliff .

This is perfectly normal. While you’re working, Dorico makes automatic saves, in case something goes wrong and the program quits unexpectedly.

If Dorico restarts and finds files in its Autosave folder, then it offers you the chance to open and restore them.

However, if Dorico quits normally (after you’ve saved your document), then it removes all the autosaves to the Trash.

You can feel free to empty the Recycle folder. Some people like the added security of being able to recover files from the Trash, if needed.

Thanks benwiggy, good to know that this is normal. Always good to have backups. From experience I know that you can loose a lot of work -really fast! Thanks again…
