Dorico 6.2.3 attempting to use 5 vst slots for Cantai sharing the same midi channel; then one slot using etude piano; then the last five vst 5 slots were assigned to note performer 5. I used AI to lead me through this for three days. Did this 11 times and everytime I was ready to save the template, Dorico would wipeout all the new vst assignment settings even with my new template in first position. Everytine I hit assign and close this would happen. Frustrated. I even email and put in a ticket to steinberg and without a result as of yet.Thanks.
AI is not always reliable for Dorico help. I suggest you post your Dorico file here; you need only post a few measures and may even be able to remove the notes, as long as we can see how your VST’s have been assigned (or as close at you can get).
As Derrek says, we really need to see exactly how this is setup, but for starters: are you sure this is right? Normally, one instance of Cantai handles one staff (and in my experience it doesn’t do “chords” or more than one voice correctly.)
As @Derrek suggested, post your file and questions here. You’ll get prompt advice from real experts instead of hallucinations from Artificial Idiots that scan the internet for anything - bogus or helpful - that you get the luxury of finding out whether (or not) it works!
