yes, Dorico simply quits here in your example. I wonder if this is new as I don’t remember an issue with inverting triplets previously. I thought it might be because you had used the bass clef for very high notes in the triplets which I’d have simply put in the treble clef but in fact that makes no difference - it quits anyway.
well spotted, Janus! The first example with the triplets should really be in the treble clef anyway imo but the second really does need the 8ve lines to be legible. That would likely explain why I hadn’t come across the issue before as I don’t remember ever having inverted pitches in a section with 8ve. The triplets themselves do not appear to be the problem.
Thanks for this - just to say this is indeed a bug (our ref: STEAM-14684). We hope to have a fix in a forthcoming version. As mentioned above, the problem is triggered by the way the octave lines are being handled.
