The software first hangs on the blue spinny pinwheel of death, then just vanishes. Any others experiencing this?
(Probably won’t help, but have you rebooted?)
You could post a Dorico file here to see if someone can open it and try an export.
I have a few times. No luck so far. Unfortunately I can’t create an XML because it’s crashing, but I have the Dorico file.
TTTIL exploded.dorico (934.8 KB)
I opened your Dorico file in Dorico 5 Pro and exported to XML without any problems.
Flows from TTTIL exploded.zip (14.4 KB)
All of the XML files then imported without problems into Dorico, Sibelius and MuseScore.
(I mis-read your original post incorrectly, will amend my reply so it at least makes sense.)
@Anthony_Lancaster feel free to upload the Dorico diagnostics file so they can investigate.
Help > Create Diagnostic Report from within Dorico and attach the resulting zip file here for one of the team to look at.
Thank you for the help
Question, where aught I send my diagnostics if it’s too large to transmit over the forum (119 mb zipped)?
Send to u dot stoermer at steinberg dot de and @Ulf will receive it to have analyzed.
Add in the URL to this thread so he has this background information.
You could probably delete all but the most recent file in the Crashes folder.
Thanks for providing the diagnostics. We can see why Dorico is crashing, and we’ll make sure it’s fixed in future. In the meantime, if you reset all the noteheads in your project to their default sets before you export, you should find that the export completes successfully. You can do this by doing Edit > Select All, then right-click and choose Notehead > Reset to Default Notehead.
Y’all are the absolute best!
