Dorico Crashes when importing an xml file if another project is open

Hi everyone, today I’m uploading a report I generated for Dorico 5 Pro, which relates to a series of crashes I’ve been experiencing for a while, but now I’ve confirmed and identified them. I have a 14" MacBook Pro M1 Pro, 16 Gb of RAM running macOS Sonoma 14.7.1, where everything works perfectly. When I have a Dorico project open and decide to import an XML file, either in that document or in a new one, after clicking “Accept” and “Enable Sound” in the project dialog boxes, Dorico immediately crashes. However, if I create a new project without having a previous one open and import the XML file, this doesn’t happen. I think it’s something that shouldn’t happen. In this case, the order of the factors shouldn’t alter the result. If anyone has been experiencing the same thing, I hope we can find a solution to this problem. I’ve had other crashes in other situations, but I need to generate a specific report for that.

TIA

You’ve got a lot of additional third-party plug-ins, plus an external audio interface. You need to rule all that lot out.

If it happens when you enable sound, then it’s definitely something to do with your audio setup.

I regularly load secondary project files and XMLs, without incident.

Hi Ben, thanks for your reply. Yes I have audio plugins and audio interfase because I work with audio Production and sound design. Uninstall them is not an option. Is there any way to bypass these plugins in Dorico?
