Dorico Crashes When Selecting Different Font Styles

When I try to change music font styles for engraving, Dorico crashes when I click “OK”. I can change paragraph styles on cover pages and headers/footers without problem, but not music.

Here is a screen shot showing what I change to before I click OK and get the crash:

Also attached is the crash file.

Configurations:

Dorico 5
Version 5.1.70.2200 (5.1.70.2200)
Mac Mini, 32 GB Ram, 4 TB Storage (2.93 TB Available)
OS Version: macOS Ventura 13.5.2 (22G91)

Note: I do not know if this will make a difference, but I have both Dorico 4 and Dorico 5 installed on the machine. I was afraid of losing files if I deleted Dorico 4.

Thanks for any thoughts or wisdom!

I think it’s preferable if you attach the Diagnostics.zip

Dorico 5 can open files created in version 4. There’s no problem there.

The crash log seems to point to the licence engine. Launch the Steinberg Download Assistant and make sure that everything (e.g. the Licence Manager) is up-to-date.

It’s possible that the complete Diagnostic Report (from the Help menu) may be more informative.

Here is the zip file

Dorico Diagnostics.zip (3.3 MB)

Thanks!

Sorry about that…

@Gdevaux, I’m sorry you’re experiencing this crash. Can you attach the project file you’re working on? I think the problem will turn out to be related to some specific combination of settings you have in the font styles in your project.
