new Dorico user here. I migrated from Finale (2014). I have been enjoying Dorico, and while the change from Finale came with a learning curve, I am slowly getting to grips with the features and options.
One thing however I can not for the life of me figure out, is why I can’t get any drum sounds. Playback is fine for other instruments, but I don’t hear any drums. Must be user error, but I have no clue.
I’ve attached the project file. Hopefully someone can help me out.
Hi @Mark_NL, and welcome to the Forum and to Dorico.
I don’t find any issue in your Project: the drums are hearable.
You can try to reapply your Playback Template from menu Play>Playback Template: choose your desired PT and click Apply and close (then wait for the green play icon, that indicates that you sound are loaded).
Also check, in Dorico’s mixer, if your drum channel is muted (but that was not the case, when I opened your file…)
If this doesn’t help, please post a Diagnostic Report, which you can create from menu Help.
Same here with me @Mark_NL , there is only a base drum for a few bars, but it does play and I can hear it. Do you have GrooveAgent properly installed along with the GrooveAgent contents packages (containing the actual sound samples that get played?
